"look, if I do this do you promise to stop stealing my tomatoes?"no but seriously, minus the temporary lack of funds [and let's face it i'm not so great with money in america either] life is awesome...consequently, i haven't been updating too much but being in front of this damn computer is not what this trip is about, right? so i'll try to be brief about this so i can get up to woody's for some brains before they close.my internship is going ok. still don't know why exactly they placed me at a primary school since i'm not an education major and never want to teach 6th grade...anyway, i got them pen pals in wilmington and they're pretty stoked about that. when i'm not in the classroom i'm in the teacher's lounge trying to figure out what the fuck the women are saying...i swear that the people with thick welsh accents are not speaking english...there's just no way in hell. umm, oh and the little boys in Mrs. Lewis' Year Six have been kind enough to nickname me "Ms. Tanboobies." lovely. that's over with on wednesday. school has started...if you want to call it that. it's going to be cake. there's loads of reading but each of my classes [and i'm only taking 3] meet just once a week...kind of a bummer. but i'm taking a sweet class called "from the beats to braughtigan" which rules...a women's lit class and a class on dylan thomas...since he was born here and all...figured i'd get to know the local lit.other than that nothing too eventful but that will soon change. dana and i started planning our spring break and so far it goes a little something like this: bus to london, fly to rome, stay for a while, fly to athens, stay for a while, fly to budapest, stay for a while, prague, stay for a while, possibly berlin, stay for a while, amsterdam then paris then barcelona and possibly seville. we're also trying to line up a trip to dublin, ireland for st. patricks day...the tickets are only a freakin pence...that's just 2 pennies!what else, oh yes....apparently wilmington and swansea have one thing in common: when it snows the whole goddam city is absolute bedlam. all the buses stopped running as i was about halfway to the quadrant and i had to walk about 6 miles in the snow...wearing chuck taylor's...it was horrible...so we'll stop talking about it.also, don't send me cigarette's. customs seizes them...bastards.love and miss you all mucho!
