erleichda!

So these pictures are way out of order but who cares? They still show the extent of my [and worm's head's] awesome-ness. As for me, I didn't budget too well this month and gave my last 10 pounds to a friend who said she needed it and could pay me back on monday [this was saturday]. needless to say [as things usually turn out shitty for me when i help someone out] i have a can of green beans and about a handful of peanuts to last me 10 days until my parents re-up the bank account [not exageratting] and said friend went to the grocery store and did her laundry...wtf? not a happy camper. oh well. guess i'll have to rough it for a week or so [or die of starvation].

anyway, enjoy the pictures, it's my favorite place within driving distace so far. miss you.

don't look down
the sweet taste of success...and a not so great, store-bought sandwich
made it to the top!
sweet natural bridge
only the three of us in the middle made it the whole way.
you don't want to get caught in that shit when the tide is coming in
babe in a cave
babes in a cave
it's ridiculous how much more comfortable that grass is than my bed

the first causeway

i think this was a bit harder than it looks
seriously doubt that shit would help

good riddance to bad rubbish

"look, if I do this do you promise to stop stealing my tomatoes?"

no but seriously, minus the temporary lack of funds [and let's face it i'm not so great with money in america either] life is awesome...consequently, i haven't been updating too much but being in front of this damn computer is not what this trip is about, right? so i'll try to be brief about this so i can get up to woody's for some brains before they close.

my internship is going ok. still don't know why exactly they placed me at a primary school since i'm not an education major and never want to teach 6th grade...anyway, i got them pen pals in wilmington and they're pretty stoked about that. when i'm not in the classroom i'm in the teacher's lounge trying to figure out what the fuck the women are saying...i swear that the people with thick welsh accents are not speaking english...there's just no way in hell. umm, oh and the little boys in Mrs. Lewis' Year Six have been kind enough to nickname me "Ms. Tanboobies." lovely. that's over with on wednesday.

school has started...if you want to call it that. it's going to be cake. there's loads of reading but each of my classes [and i'm only taking 3] meet just once a week...kind of a bummer. but i'm taking a sweet class called "from the beats to braughtigan" which rules...a women's lit class and a class on dylan thomas...since he was born here and all...figured i'd get to know the local lit.

other than that nothing too eventful but that will soon change. dana and i started planning our spring break and so far it goes a little something like this: bus to london, fly to rome, stay for a while, fly to athens, stay for a while, fly to budapest, stay for a while, prague, stay for a while, possibly berlin, stay for a while, amsterdam then paris then barcelona and possibly seville. we're also trying to line up a trip to dublin, ireland for st. patricks day...the tickets are only a freakin pence...that's just 2 pennies!

what else, oh yes....apparently wilmington and swansea have one thing in common: when it snows the whole goddam city is absolute bedlam. all the buses stopped running as i was about halfway to the quadrant and i had to walk about 6 miles in the snow...wearing chuck taylor's...it was horrible...so we'll stop talking about it.

also, don't send me cigarette's. customs seizes them...bastards.

love and miss you all mucho!

!KISMET!

so yesterday we go to bath. a place that i was told to go...by someone that means something...and we're out in the square after touring the roman baths...and this dude is playing guitar...he starts playing this stupid snow patrol song that reminds me of said person....so i'm in this town that this boy told me to go to...with this dude playing this song that reminds me of this boy...missing someone that probably doesn't miss me. [sigh]

anyway, bath was beautiful and i plan on going back soon...mucho eye-candy and a sweet rugby arena.

i miss home a little bit. classes start monday and i'm pretty stoked about getting back into a routine...also i need to find a job. but mostly i need to make my way to my bed...it's 10:30AM on sober sunday...g'nite.

in bath with schweny and the girls.

slightly hungover on the bus tour...

the roman baths!

everyday's a holiday

daaammmmnnn ya'll. sup? i'm in wales. so after a week of running around trying to get my means of communication set up i finally have the internet...not only do they drive on the wrong side of the road...these crazy british people do everything backwards which made my first couple days a little hectic. i'm already loving it though. the worst part of the trip [lugging 150+ pounds of luggage from train to train] is over and i'm settling in quite nicely. the public transportation here is pretty amazing so it's easy to get to the city centre everyday for shopping for sweet clothes and sexy euro-trash boys.
last saturday we went to the gower peninsula and wormshead. it was breath-takingly lovely. i got to chase some sheep [surprisingly agile creatures they are] and hike down to one of the most beautiful beaches i've seen. the night life here is insane...i went to the pub called no-sign bar which dylan thomas worked just a few doors down from and refers to in some of his narratives. every city here is seriously a lit. majors heaven. tomorrow i'm going to cardiff [the capital of wales] to visit the cardiff castle and check out the city. stonehenge and bathe are coming up the following weekends.

just wanted to give a quick update...there is so much to do here and i'm having so much fun. but that doesn't mean that i don't miss you all immensely.

for anyone that wishes to make my day write me [or send some cigarettes because they're expensive as shit and i've had to start rolling my own...bummer]...

one of the first nights...there's gonna be a lot of nights like this...but hopefully with less americans :]

this is straight up a damn potato stand in the middle of city centre...they sell jacket potatoes like they're damn hotdogs.

castle ruins in city centre...skyscraper in the background...hmm, paradox?

sweet fountain with a dylan thomas quote wrapped around the bottom...

city centre...this street is basically just pub after never-ending pub. probably a bad place for a boozer like me. ha.

on the way to the gower.

i think i should live there.

these are the sheep before i terrorized them...

that's wormshead...unfortunately we didn't get to walk out there because of high tide but on the brighter side it's only 30 minutes away.
